The Engineering
Alta Audio’s proprietary XTL® Bass tuning system is patented and relies on carefully applied sonic geometry to tune Alyssa’s cabinet much like a fine musical instrument. To ensure the cabinet itself does not contribute resonances or vibrations that cloud and distort the music, Alta Audio employs its exclusive DampHard construction: a multi-layered, multi-density material engineered to suppress unwanted energy. This allows the bass to remain articulate and controlled while preserving the overall dimensionality and spatial realism of the music.
XTL® (Extended Transmission Line) is Alta Audio’s proprietary technology that applies sonic geometry to loudspeaker cabinet design, tuning the enclosure as an integral part of the system.
